In order to operate as a charity in Kenya MCOH must partner with like-minded Kenyan legal entities, otherwise called community-based organizations, CBO’S. Since our founding in 2003, we have been partnering with the Mikinduri Hope Community Development Organization, (MHCDO) located in Mikinduri.
Since our expansion in early 2017, we have developed a new partnership with Beyond the Limitations Community Development Organization (BLCBO) in Western Province, Kenya.
Each of the CBO’s, must operate within the legal guidelines of the Kenyan government, by having a qualified Board of Directors, representing the various self-help groups we support. Without these CBO’s, which initiate, supervise and monitor the approved projects, our work could not happen. It is with them that our annual mission team engage with the communities that we jointly serve. Each CBO has an office, staffed by a capable Project Director, who oversee the other staff members, including an accountant, agricultural specialist and social workers.
MCOH provides the funding for all approved projects and programs through our fundraising efforts.
