Invitation to Ride

This year’s Tip to Tip for Africa cycling event will take place on the Thanksgiving weekend, October 9-11.  Join us for a fabulous 3 day bike ride on PEI’s beautiful Confederation Trail!

The Townships Project & Mikinduri Children of Hope have joined forces for this great event.  All proceeds go to support the work of both organizations in Africa. For more information about each of these registered Canadian Charities check out the links to their websites.

Event Details

This 273 Km ride begins at Tignish and ends at Elmira. Two nights will be spent in luxury hotels with great meals and local entertainment.  The fee for registration is $200 which includes all meals and accommodation for 3 days and 2 nights as well as transportation from Charlottetown to Tignish on Saturday and from Elmira back to Charlottetown on Monday.  Transportation will also be available to those who may wish to do only part of the ride on any particular day.

Each rider must raise a minimum of $600 in donations.   Great prizes are available for the top fundraisers.

In preparation for the ride, Bruce MacPherson will, once again, be offering tips and opportunities for training.  Training rides will begin in June from the Farmers Market in Charlottetown.
